Help Strengthen the Heart of Life Echoes Connections

Life Echoes Connections is becoming a not‑for‑profit association so we can continue to offer trusted resources, foster family communication, and provide secure legacy preservation for the future. This important change will strengthen and protect our mission—helping families stay connected, reduce the growing epidemic of loneliness and estrangement, and preserve their stories and values—but we can’t do it alone.

Your donation to our GoFundMe campaign will help cover the expenses required to make this transition possible. Every contribution truly makes a difference, and we are deeply grateful for your support.

Our Mission

We are especially focused on helping families communicate better, strengthen unity, and reduce the growing epidemic of estrangement and loneliness. By sharing stories, values, and experiences, our members create legacies that uplift loved ones, ease grief, and inspire generations to come—helping everyone live well, love well, and leave well.

Defining our purpose.

Life Echoes Connections was created out of concern for how unprepared many of us are for the unexpected. Life is stressful, and death can happen in an instant. In the midst of our busy lives, we often neglect to prepare for emergencies such as sudden accidents or illnesses that affect cognition. When we’re unprepared, the burden falls onto our loved ones, who are already dealing with their own life challenges and must now face additional responsibilities while grieving.

Preparing for the inevitable is an act of love.

It opens the door to conversations with friends and chosen family about your wishes. In today’s digital world, where much of our lives are password-protected and leave little paper trail, it can be a daunting task for those left behind to access crucial information.

Life Echoes Connections was designed to solve this problem by providing a secure platform where your Executor can find everything they need in one place. Beyond that, it offers a way to leave meaningful messages and stories for your loved ones, aiding their grieving process and fostering connections by sharing memories and sentiments.

We also prioritize self-care.

Life changes significantly in our forties. Life can feel overwhelming with becoming empty nesters, planning for retirement, caring for aging parents, and coping with the physical changes of our own aging.  Then add the loss of a loved one, and the responsibilities and stress multiply. By establishing our own self-care routines, managing our own stressors, preplanning our own lives and assisting our older loved ones in doing the same, we can reduce anxiety for everyone involved.

The inspiration for this website came from a near-tragic experience.

While driving through a residential intersection, the founders narrowly escaped a serious accident when a truck ran a red light right in front of them at double the city speed limit. Had they been in the intersection three seconds earlier, the outcome could have been catastrophic, leaving their grieving 78-year-old mother with the overwhelming responsibility of handling their unprepared estates. This moment set the wheels in motion for what is now Life Echoes Connections.

As the website’s concept evolved, life added urgency to its mission.

Within a year, the founders’ mother developed a rare brain disease, rapidly losing cognitive function. Knowing the importance of the website her son and daughter-in-law were developing, she had planned on utilizing her Life Echoes Connections Legacy Account when the website was finished. However, life had other plans. She was admitted to the hospital with extremely high blood pressure on September 11, 2024. She didn’t get the opportunity to write legacy letters for her grandchildren, daughters-in-law, sons, and close friends. Her decline was swift. Within two weeks of admission, she could only mark authorization forms with a thumbprint. Her family watched helplessly as her life slipped away. Virginia Jane Menard passed on October 31, 2024, and she is deeply missed. In her honor, her Life Echoes Connections Legacy Account provides a space for family and friends to share their stories and remember the loving, caring, and fun person that she was.

Live Well, Love Well, Leave Well.
